Champion of the freedom of press in France. And my dearly respected Mr Stephane Charbonnier, the Editor.
I salute you for your bravery in trying to sell more of your poorly rated satirical comic whilst all the while hiding behind police protection in a predominantly Jewish quarter of Paris. Your amazingly twisted and unlife like depiction and story lines really must have been taken from the writings of unsubstantiated Islamic scholars, just as you said. And just as you say the pictures have really taught me so much about Islamophobia and how to successfully veil religious hatred behind the freedom of press. That i cant even start to thank you, at all.
Truelly you emparted such a 'je ne sais quoi' for the 20 or so immediately closed French foreign embassies and showed real 'amour' for your fellow French diplomats and their wives and children who are now fearing to go out in public in countries across the world.
I also have to tip my hat and say 'fantastique' for the way that you have single handedly managed to sell so many French flags and matches in countries with such low literacy rates. It cant help but remind me of the great French Revolution.
I feel compelled to compare it to your selfish depictions and the simile how young Frenchmen gave their lives for the greater good, for an independant France. And you in comparison hiding behind police to divide the nations youth just to sell papers.
You dear Charbonnier surely have done a great diservice to their memories. Your selfish Islamophibia should be celebrated by your very own French National football team. It has a large contingent of Muslim players does it not?
At the next international game you should lead them out. In fact why not get one of the World's and Frances greatest Muslim player Zinedine Zidane to award you his world cup winning medal. Thanking you for depicting the Prophet of his religion in such a way. You really must now be a hero to your National team now.
And finally a big thumbs up to you Mr Charbonnier for sharing that side of French politics and media that has no love and tolerance in its heart for the fellow 10% or the approx 5-6 million Muslims in France. They must really love you. As does the French government for single handedly decreasing French tourism, increasing French life insurance premiums. And raising the amount of French political grovelling to Arab states to continue to help save your ailing Economy with their petrodollars.
All in all a job well done, French freedom of expression prevailed and had only a big part to do with religious hatred, intolerance and with a selling a rubbish paper fit only for wrapping fish and chips. I just sincerely hope for your and your staff's safety sake that the riot police officers standing outside your front door dont feel the same freedom of expression when their countrymen try to fire bomb your offices like they did last time. As youngsters these days sure do learn quick.
As I belong to the Ahmadiyya sect of Islam and our motto is 'Love for All, Hatred for None'. I sincerely hope Dear Mr Charbonnier that my points made make you change your mind and realise the wider implications of dividing people into one group vs another, especially under the guise of freedom of speech. Freedom comes with a responsibility and a price. When a person mocks the beloved of another some of the people effected will not tolerate it. And Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the beloved of 1.6 billion in the World. And I genuinely fear for the safety of all human life and pray that you have a change of heart and mind.
Yours Sincerely
Ansar Khan
